Nigerian singer and songwriter Simisola Kosoko has shared a fascinating backstory to her hit song “Men are Crazy,” featuring Tiwa Savage.
In an interview on “Way Up with Angela Yee,” Simi who is known for her soulful voice, disclosed that the song’s inspiration came from her husband, Adekunle Gold.
The talented artist mentioned that Adekunle Gold suggested the song’s chorus, “Men are crazy but I still want one more in my bed.”

Simi was appreciative that Tiwa took her time to record her part of the music despite her busy schedule.

Simi shared, “It’s funny because my husband gave me that idea. He was like, ‘Babe, how are we doing the song?’ and he said, ‘Men are crazy and I still want one in my bed.’ I was like, no one will think of such coming from me.
“After recording like two verses of the song, I felt like something was missing, like someone is needed. That’s when I reached out to Tiwa, even though our brands and music styles are somewhat different. We generally don’t go in the same direction, but I felt like we could do something to bring our fans together.”
“Then I sent it to her, I think she was in LA at that time. She went to the studio to record despite her busy schedule.”
